Job summary

Tao Group Hospitality is seeking a part-time Maitre’D to manage seating, reservations, and guest interactions at our New York venues. You will coordinate with the dining room team, assist with front desk setup, and ensure smooth shifts by optimizing seating for reservations and walk-ins.

The role requires strong communication, professionalism, and a positive team attitude. Experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub environment is essential, with at least 1 year of Maitre’D experience or

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year Maitre’D experience or equivalent Tao Group Hospitality experience
• Experience in a high-volume restaurant/nightclub/lounge
• Ability to write, read, and verbally communicate
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time
• May work extended hours irregular shifts, evening and/or weekend shifts, and holiday work may be required

Responsibilities

• Check in and manage seating for reservations and walk-ins to maximize seating
• Acknowledge guests and interact with guests, team members, and supervisors politely
• Actively take and process reservations and answer guest questions
• Plot reservations strategically and accommodate walk-ins for smooth shifts
• Provide dining room team with initial table setup and front desk preparation
