Job summary

Hawksmoor Chicago is seeking a Maître d' to lead Reservations and Front of House, uphold service standards, and model hospitality in a fast-paced, landmark restaurant. You will be responsible for ensuring warm, knowledgeable guest experiences and guiding the team with a professional, inclusive approach.

You will manage OpenTable reservations, oversee guest profiles, large party bookings, and coordinate with kitchen and floor teams to deliver exceptional service in a dynamic Chicago setting.

Responsibilities

• Answer phone calls, emails, and guest reviews warmly and professionally, following Hawksmoor tone, style, and standards.
• Manage reservations and availability blocking accurately and efficiently using OpenTable.
• Convert new inquiries and manage reporting through the Triple Seat platform.
• Welcome and check in guests with warmth and genuine hospitality, overseeing table statuses and coat check process, and Maître d' duties as required.
• Communicate clearly and proactively with the kitchen, bar, and floor teams, regarding guest notes, preferences, and special requests.
• Maintain accurate and detailed guest profiles, including VIPs, celebrations, and special requirements.
• Demonstrate confident menu knowledge and make informed recommendations when needed.
• Manage large party reservations, group dining inquiries, and all associated booking procedures.
• Understand and utilize CSI benchmarking to track and improve guest satisfaction.
• Maintain up-to-date menu knowledge and handle guest feedback, complaints, or quality issues with confidence and professionalism.
• Actively enhance the guest journey through JTR focus and thoughtful surprise and delight moments.
