Job Summary

We are seeking an individual who is committed, kind, knowledgeable, and respectful to assume a Maintenance Worker role and be a part of an excellent, collaborative team!

Summary Of Position

In accordance with the mission and values of The Village of St. Edward, the Maintenance Worker is responsible for performing maintenance and other related types of work; demonstrated knowledge of general maintenance repairs, with proficient knowledge in most if not all areas of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and plastering. Able to work independently with little supervision.

Requirements:
  • High school education or equivalent preferred.
  • Proficient knowledge and skill within most if not all areas: Electrical, plumbing, carpentry, painting, and plastering/drywall/mudding.
  • Good standing driving record.
  • Valid Ohio Driver's license.
  • Understands and demonstrates ability to comprehend written and verbal instructions.
  • Demonstrated skills in building trades such as carpentry, plumbing, and electrical.
  • Must be able to lift, push and pull 50 lbs. independently and over 75 lbs. with assistance.
  • Possess and demonstrate the necessary dexterity to separate tools, bolts, operate equipment, buttons, levers, etc.
  • Able to work in confined spaces.
  • Able to work at heightened levels, ladders, etc.
  • Must work with residents, families, and the public courteously and effectively.
