Job summary

Amber Court of Westbury is seeking a dedicated Maintenance Worker to join our on-site team. You will diagnose and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and other systems to keep our community running smoothly.

You will complete service requests, prepare vacant units for rent, respond to resident needs, promote safety, and assist with prioritizing tasks, possibly supervising contractors. This is a hands-on role in a residential setting located in Westbury, NY.

Responsibilities

• Complete service requests safely and in a timely manner.
• Prepare vacant units for rent promptly (rent-ready).
• Respond to resident requests and resolve issues to satisfaction.

• May supervise work of other associates or outside contractors.

Amber Court of Westbury is seeking a dynamic Maintenance Worker.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Diagnose and repair problems in such areas as HVAC, electrical, plumbing, major appliances, carpentry, emergency systems, flooring, hardware accessories, masonry, painting/wallpaper, water features (pools, spas, etc.) and waste management systems.
• Complete assigned service requests and repairs consistent with company operating and equipment/supply standards and in a safe and timely manner.
• Perform turn-key work as required to ensure vacant apartment homes are rent-ready in a timely manner.
• Maintain customer service standards. Respond to resident requests and work with residents to minimize/resolve problems and complaints. Follow-through to ensure issue is resolved.
• Promote safe work practices among on-site staff.
• Assist with organizing and prioritizing service requests and general maintenance tasks.
• May supervise the work of other associates and outside contractors.
• May perform other duties as assigned.
