Job summary

Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, IA is seeking a Maintenance Worker to support LRH’s Facility Department across main campus and Milford location. You will perform floor care, basic repairs, and routine facility maintenance to promote a safe and clean environment.

Responsibilities include hardwood and carpet floor care, general housekeeping, and security duties. A high school diploma and driver’s license are required; PTO is available and the work environment is positive and

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Floor care experience helpful.
• Driver’s License required.
• Wall repair and painting experience is required.
• Experience in taping, rolling, brushing and cutting edges, minor sheetrock installation, taping, mudding and texturing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs floor care duties and other cleaning tasks throughout the main campus of Lakes Regional Healthcare and Milford location.
• General preventative and reactive maintenance duties: inspecting and repairing equipment, facility and systems.
• Maintains hardwood floors (daily disinfection, routine waxing) and carpeted areas (daily care, extraction and cleaning).
• Performs general housekeeping, maintenance and other duties as assigned.
• Security duties include securing/opening the facility daily and responding to security concerns.
• During snow events, responsible for snow removal from sidewalks and facility exits using tractor and shovel.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Floor care experience helpful

Driver’s License required

Taping, rolling, brushing and cutting edges; minor sheetrock installation; mudding and texturing experience

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:

High school diploma or GED equivalent. Floor care experience helpful. Must be able to operate small yard equipment effectively. Driver’s License required. Wall repair and painting experience is required. Must have experience in taping, rolling, brushing and cutting edges, minor sheetrock installation, taping, mudding and texturing experience also preferred.

CERTIFICATIONS,LICENSURE &/OR REGISTRATIONS:

Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Certification or completion within the first 6 months of employment.
