Job summary

Lakes Regional Healthcare in Spirit Lake, IA is seeking a Maintenance Worker to support the Facility Department and LRH operations. You will perform floor care, cleaning, and general maintenance to promote a safe, sanitary environment for patients and staff.

Responsibilities include inspecting and repairing equipment, maintaining floors and carpets, and assisting with snow removal during winter events. A high school diploma or GED and a valid driver’s license are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in floor care or cleaning is preferred.
• Must be able to operate small yard equipment.
• Driver’s license required.
• Wall repair and painting experience is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform floor care and cleaning throughout Lakes Regional Healthcare campuses.
• Conduct preventative and reactive facility maintenance and repairs.
• Inspect and repair equipment and building systems.
• Maintain hardwood, carpeted floors, and perform routine waxing/cleaning.
• Assist with snow removal from sidewalks/ exits using tractor and shovel.
• Handle general housekeeping and security-related duties as needed.

Responsibilities include general preventative and reactive maintenance duties such as inspecting and repairing equipment, the facility and its systems. Maintains hardwood floors including daily disinfection as well as routine waxing; maintains carpeted areas including daily care as well as routing extraction and cleaning. Performs general housekeeping, maintenance and other duties as assigned. Security duties include securing and opening the facility on a daily basis and responding to Security concerns. During a snow event, the candidate will be responsible for snow removal from sidewalks and facility exits using a tractor and shovel.**EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:**High school diploma or GED equivalent. Floor care experience helpful. Must be able to operate small yard equipment effectively. Driver’s License required. Wall repair and painting experience is required. Must have experience in taping, rolling, brushing and cutting edges, minor sheetrock installation, taping, mudding and texturing experience also preferred.**CERTIFICATIONS, LICENSURE &/OR REGISTRATIONS:**Adult/Child Abuse Mandatory Reporter Certification or completion within the first 6 months of employment.
