Qualifications

Hourly Rate: $18.24

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on buildings, equipment, machinery, vehicles, and grounds.
  2. Assist in developing work order systems and preventative maintenance schedules; support budget preparations.
  3. Inspect, test, adjust, and repair all physical plant machinery and systems; record maintenance activities.
  4. Operate and maintain all physical plant machinery and equipment.
  5. Repair building structures, walls, floors, ceilings, cabinets, doors, windows, and stairways.
  6. Inspect, test, clean, and repair fire safety equipment; keep detailed reports.
  7. Remove ice and snow, mow lawns, grade roads, and trim trees as needed.
  8. Participate in facility safety committees and provide evaluations and suggestions.
  9. Support vendor selection and supervise service agreements for water testing, pest control, waste management, and sewage treatment.
  10. Oversee environmental monitoring of water and sewer, and assist in regulatory reporting.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; vocational certification may substitute.
  • At least 2 years of experience in construction, repair, or maintenance trades.
  • Skills in at least two areas such as construction, welding, automotive/mechanical repair, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, or building maintenance.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to meet auto insurance requirements; able to drive for work purposes.
  • Pass a drug screening.
  • Ability to lift 50+ pounds, stand, walk, and work in various environmental conditions.

About our Program:

The Girls Short-Term Juvenile Justice Residential Program is a 4-6 month gender-responsive program for girls aged 13-17, aimed at rehabilitation and successful community reintegration. It offers individualized treatment, education, behavioral health, and family counseling in a supportive environment.
