S:US is seeking a Maintenance Worker for their family shelter in Brooklyn, NY. The role involves carrying out repairs, maintenance of facilities, and basic building tasks in a compassionate, safe environment.

You will handle painting, plumbing, smoke detectors, snow removal, and grounds upkeep, with bilingual English/Spanish preferred. Competitive hourly pay and a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• NYS Driver’s License Preferred.

Responsibilities

Position Overview

S:US is seeking a Maintenance Worker for their families with children shelter in Brooklyn.

This position is located at Dumont Avenue Brooklyn, NY, 11207

SCOPE OF ROLE: Carry out minor repairs and building maintenance throughout assigned areas of the facility. This includes but is not limited to; painting, plastering, repairing furniture, maintaining smoke detectors, and fire extinguishers. Responsible for exterior snow and ice removal as well as upkeep of the grounds. This includes but is not limited to sidewalk maintenance, mowing grass, trimming shrubbery, maintaining landscaping, rodent removal, and all other aspects of the building exterior.
