Job summary

Grandview School District is seeking a maintenance professional to keep facilities safe for students, staff, and the public. You will perform skilled trades tasks and uphold a preventive maintenance program in a rural, community-focused district.

Hours are 8 per day, 5 days a week (260 days/year) with benefits including health, life, retirement, and paid sick leave/ PTO. High school diploma required; HVAC/electrical/plumbing/construction experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: Trades experience desired (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry).
• Testing: Pre-employment physical and valid driver's license required.
• Clearances: Fingerprint/background check required.

• Maintain facilities in safe condition for students, staff and public.
• Maintain a preventive maintenance program.

Work Environment

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: significant lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some climbing and balancing, significant stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity. Generally the job requires 5% sitting, 50% walking, and 45% standing. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations and under conditions with some exposure to risk of injury and/or illness.
