Job summary

LAZ Parking in Los Angeles is seeking a Maintenance team member responsible for daily janitorial tasks across garages and surface lots. You will interact with customers, communicate across departments, and ensure spaces are clean and safe.

Responsibilities include sweeping, trash removal, bulb changes, winter upkeep, and operating a golf cart or floor scrubber as needed. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED, strong communication, and the ability to work unsupervised.

Qualifications

• Experience with general facility maintenance required.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to work multiple facility locations.
• Must be able to speak, read, and comprehend English.

Responsibilities

• Maintain garages and surface lots daily and keep them clean.
• Operate the golf cart and other machinery as needed.
• Assist with winter upkeep and safety checks.
• Provide assistance to customers in garages and lots.
• Complete daily maintenance tasks per checklist.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

The Spirit Of The Position

The Maintenance is responsible for all janitorial responsibilities for garages and surface lots, ensuring they are maintained and cleaned on a daily basis. Interface with customers, provide effective communication between departments, and co-workers.

Principal Job Duties

• Ensure garages and surface lots are maintained and cleaned on a daily basis.
• Responsible for general maintenance of the garage and surface lots – sweeping, wiping down surfaces and equipment, emptying trash, picking up trash, changing light bulbs, painting etc.
• Assist with winter upkeep (managing sidewalks and garages).
• May need to operate the garage/floor sweeper and scrubber to ensure floors are clean and safe.
• Responsible for ensuring all daily duties on the maintenance checklist are completed efficiently and timely.
• Provide assistance to customers in garages and surface lots.
• Assist with other functions as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

• High school diploma or GED preferred but not required.

Experience

• Experience with general facility maintenance required.
• Good communication skills.
