Commonwealth of VA Careers in Richmond, VA is seeking a General Maintenance Trade Specialist for Facilities Operations. The role performs preventive maintenance, repairs, and installations to ensure reliable building infrastructure and exceptional service to university occupants.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing HVAC, plumbing, electrical systems, and assisting in organizing mechanical spaces.

Formación

• Several years of experience maintaining residential/commercial buildings.
• Ability to repair and service HVAC, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Ability to read/interpret drawings, plans, specifications, and scopes.
• Proficient with a wide variety of hand tools and power equipment.
• High School diploma, GED, or equivalent.
• Valid Virginia Driver's License.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to service requests requiring diagnosis and repair of building infrastructure.
• Respond to electrical and plumbing service requests.
• Perform preventive maintenance on doors, fan coil units, room air conditioners, and heat pumps.
• Provide excellent customer service to faculty, staff, and students.
• Work on-call during inclement weather and emergencies.
• Organize and clean mechanical areas and shop.
