Job summary

SLPT is seeking a Maintenance Supervisor to lead the maintenance and tool room teams, ensuring safe, efficient operation of the facility. You will manage budgets, coordinate with production and engineering, and drive continuous improvement in uptime and reliability across HVAC, buildings, and equipment.

Ideal candidates bring strong supervisory experience in manufacturing, solid mechanical/electrical knowledge, and a proactive, safety‑minded approach.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 3–5 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong communication, problem solving, and people skills.
• Strong mechanical aptitudes, and a working knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems.
• Excellent trouble shooting and diagnostic skills.
• Ability to define problems and resolve them quickly.
• Familiar with local building codes and OSHA regulations.
• Familiar with current health and safety regulations.
• Requires strong supervisory skills, with excellent oral and written communication.
• Ability to work with changing priorities and situations.
• Self-starter who can work well with people at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Supervises maintenance and tool room employees and coordinates work to meet safety, quality and output standards.
• Develops and evaluates subordinates and maintains strong team communication.
• Ensures employee safety by enforcing OSHA regulations and safe work practices.
• Recommends maintenance and tool room processes to maximize efficiency.
• Oversees preventive maintenance within an annual budget for buildings and equipment.
• Collaborates with production, product development, and MFG Engineering to meet project needs.
• Sets safety, quality, and cost standards with management.
