Mayville Engineering Company, Inc. is seeking a hands-on Maintenance Supervisor to lead a maintenance team, ensure safe and reliable plant operations, and drive preventive and corrective maintenance.

The role partners with Production and Engineering, prioritizes daily activities, reduces downtime, and maintains equipment, structures, and utilities to meet ISO and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Ability to lead and direct work in fast-paced environment.
  • Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing maintenance processes related to machinery, carpentry, electrical, etc.

Responsibilities

  • Establishes standards and policies for installation, modification, testing, operating procedures, inspection and maintenance of equipment according to engineering principles and safety regulations.
  • Leads, mentors, supports, and trains maintenance team.
  • Tracks and maintains optimum labor utilization and efficiency.
  • Tests newly installed machines and equipment to ensure fulfillment of contract satisfaction.
  • Management of spare parts, material and inventories.
  • Plans, coordinates, and schedules all predictive and preventative maintenance programs for structures, utilities, and equipment.
  • Provides technical support and communicates to other departments regarding process and/or equipment changes.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with other internal departments and outside services.
  • Ensures compliance with applicable regulatory laws and ISO requirements.
  • Follows and ensures maintenance team follows all safety regulations. Identifies and corrects potential safety hazards.

Job description

The Maintenance Supervisor is a hands-on leader who keeps our plant running safely, reliably, and at peak performance. This role leads and develops the maintenance team, prioritizes daily activities, and drives preventive and corrective maintenance to keep equipment, machinery, and facility systems operating at their best.

The Supervisor takes ownership of maintenance challenges, responds quickly to issues, minimizes downtime, and partners with Production and Engineering to keep operations moving. This is a key leadership role with a direct impact on equipment reliability, team performance, safety, productivity, and overall plant success.

Job Responsibilities

Job Skill Requirements

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.

  • Fundamental knowledge of manufacturing maintenance processes related to machinery, carpentry, electrical, etc.
Preferred

Minium three years of maintenance leadership experience. Manufacturing industry experience highly preferred.
