Job summary

John Crane, a business of Smiths Group, seeks a Maintenance Support Specialist to ensure operation and upkeep of specialized testing equipment. You will troubleshoot, maintain, and repair pneumatic and electrical systems on test rigs, calibrate equipment, and manage spare parts inventory.

Collaborate with test technicians and production supervisors, drive preventive maintenance, and liaise with suppliers to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of pneumatic equipment and instruments; high/low pressure regulators, air boosters, high pressure compressors (3200 psi+)
• Work with 120–480 VAC motors (AC/DC)
• Read and troubleshoot electrical/pneumatic drawings
• Office 365 proficiency
• Experience with specialized testing equipment and calibration procedures
• Hands-on maintenance and repair of pneumatic and electrical systems

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair pneumatic and electrical systems on test rigs
• Ensure proper calibration and preventive maintenance of equipment
• Manage spare parts inventory for all equipment
• Collaborate with test technicians and production supervisor to resolve seal testing issues
• Initiate/drive communication with suppliers for troubleshooting and maintenance
