Job summary

John Crane, a business of Smiths Group, is seeking a Reliability Engineer for its Service Delivery Office to support reliability projects across the North America region. You will work with customers, internal teams, and local sales to identify needs and deliver value using formal reliability methodologies.

The role requires hands-on experience with rotating equipment, strong communication, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a global environment.

Qualifications

• Mechanical or industrial engineer with 4+ years of experience in rotating equipment.
• Experience with reliability methodologies (RCM, FMEA/FMECA, RCA) and reliability statistics.
• Familiarity with ISO 14224 and ISO 55000 series.
• Strong communication skills; English language required.
• Experience in asset-intensive, high-hazard industries.
• Experience with CMMS/ServiceMax data management.

Responsibilities

• Conduct reliability contracts feasibility studies and implementations.
• Develop asset reliability vision, strategy, and roadmap for wet sealed equipment.
• Create procedures to achieve reliability standards.
• Provide expert guidance on RCA, FMEA/FMECA, and FTA.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to enable a seal reliability program; manage projects.
