Job summary

Forgent Power Solutions in Minnesota is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain, troubleshoot, and repair CNC machines, fabrication equipment, and facility systems across production areas.

You will perform preventive maintenance, handle repairs, and log tasks in Epicor ERP, with shifts in Champlin, MN and Dayton, MN facilities. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and 0–3 years’ related experience is acceptable.

Qualifications

• 0-3 years related experience or training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with CNC equipment, powder coating systems, or welding stations (preferred).
• Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
• Experience using Epicor ERP (preferred).
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to read technical manuals and schematics.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Pre-employment background check (required).
• Pre-employment drug screen (required).

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and preventive maintenance on CNC machines, fabrication equipment, and facility systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues.
• Respond to equipment breakdowns and complete repairs promptly.
• Log work orders and updates in Epicor ERP.
• Assist with machinery installation or relocation.
• Maintain and repair facility utilities such as lighting, HVAC, and plumbing.
• Inspect equipment for wear, damage, or safety concerns.
• Maintain inventory of tools and spare parts.
• Follow safety procedures including lockout/tagout.
• Support continuous improvement and keep work areas organized.
• Perform minor building repairs and basic welding or fabrication when needed.
• Calibrate and test equipment to ensure compliance with operational standards.
• Coordinate with vendors for specialized service.
• Participate in safety audits and contribute to corrective action planning.

Job Summary

As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll maintain, troubleshoot, and repair equipment and facility systems across the production and fabrication areas. You’ll perform preventive maintenance, handle equipment repairs, and use Epicor ERP to track tasks and update records.

Schedule Options

• 1st Shift: Monday to Thursday 5:00am-3:30pm
• 2nd Shift: Monday to Thursday 3:45pm-2:15am

Pay

• $26.50-$29.83/hour, based on experience
• Weekly paychecks every Friday

Location and Work Environment

• Champlin, MN and Dayton, MN facilities
• Clean working environment
• Option to wear one earbud on the production floor
