Job summary

Tecumseh Products Company is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on both old and new machinery, and to service pneumatic and hydraulic systems. The role requires reading electrical diagrams, familiarity with preventive maintenance programs, and a safety-first approach.

The ideal candidate will have an Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electricity, or HVAC or equivalent experience, strong communication, and the ability to work

• Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electricity, or HVAC preferred, equivalent experience considered.
• Relevant experience in maintenance for manufacturing equipment.
• Strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to read plans and determine proper procedures.
• Good interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on old and new machines.
• Maintain pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

Job description

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs electrical and mechanical maintenance on old and new machines, plus maintenance of pneumatic & hydraulic systems

• Ability to read electrical diagram for troubleshooting

• Familiarity with p.m. programs (identify, documentation, procedures)

• Able to work in cold or hot conditions while maintaining a safe work environment

• Ability to take instruction with a ‘can do’ attitude, but willing to ask questions as needed

Qualification & Education Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electricity, or HVAC preferred; equivalent experience will be considered

• Experience – Relevant or similar experience preferred.

• Good written and verbal communication.

• Analytical Skills – Ability to read a plan and have the mental acuity to discern the proper procedure to follow for each unit.

• Well-developed communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Ability to work safely, follow all safety rules and lead by example.

• Must be able to maintain good and regular attendance.

• Must be available for mandatory overtime.

Pay Range:

• $24.50-$37.00 Based on experience and technical ability
