Job summary

DFM Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support an automobile assembly facility with preventative maintenance and safety-focused tasks. You will troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and plumbing issues, requiring strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work alone or in teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist Assembly Department with Preventative Maintenance Program to support an Automobile assembly facility.
• Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, plumbing and electrical problems safely and efficiently.
• Maintain safety practices and quality standards.
• Work independently or in a team.
• Work 50/50 time inside/outside the facility.
• Lift and move 40–50 lbs occasionally.
• Operate in aerial lifts and forklifts with company training.
• Walk distances, climb stairs and ladders.
• Maintain a clean, safe work environment using 5S standards.
• Pass CPR/AED and First Aid Training (training provided).
• Pass Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection, PPE, and Electrical Safety Training (training provided).
• Follow all safety policies and guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Assembly Department with the Preventative Maintenance Program to support an Automobile assembly facility
• Be able to troubleshoot and resolve mechanical, plumbing and electrical problems in an efficient and safe manner
• Have good problem solving skills, safety practices and attention to quality
• Be able to work alone or on a team
• Be able to work outside facility or inside facility on about a 50/50 time split
• Be able to occasionally lift and/or move 40 to 50 lbs.
• Be able to work safely in an aerial lift, on a forklift and on elevated work surfaces (Company training provided)
• Be physically able to walk distances, lift, stoop, kneel, crouch, climb stairs and ladders
• Be able to maintain a clean and safe work environment using 5S standards
• Pass CPR/AED and First Aid Training (Company training provided)
• Pass Lockout/Tagout, Fall Protection, PPE Training, and Electrical Safety Training (Company training provided)
• Follow all company safety related policies, rules, regulations, technical instructions and guidelines

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of Commercial HVAC units (Operation, filter changes, belt and sheave adjustments, and coil cleaning)
• Working knowledge of Industrial Electricity and Lighting
• Working knowledge of Industrial Plumbing and Fixtures
• Working knowledge of Commercial Dock Levelers and Dock Locks
• Working knowledge of Overhead Doors, High Speed Doors and Sectional Doors
• Working knowledge of Industrial Supply and Exhaust Fans
• Must be able to work the weekend shift—Friday, Saturday, Sunday, 3 12 hour shifts but will be paid for 40 hours
