Job summary

Tecumseh is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on a range of machines, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

The role requires reading electrical diagrams for troubleshooting, familiarity with PM programs, and commitment to safety in variable temperature environments. Strong communication and attendance are essential; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent experience in industrial maintenance or HVAC.
• Experience in electrical and mechanical maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical diagrams for troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with PM programs and proper documentation.
• Strong safety mindset and attendance record.

Responsibilities

• Performs electrical and mechanical maintenance on old and new machines, plus pneumatic & hydraulic systems.
• Troubleshoots from electrical diagrams and documents procedures.
• Adheres to PM programs and follows safety requirements.
• Works in cold or hot conditions while maintaining a safe environment.
• Willing to take instruction with a can-do attitude and seek clarification when needed.

Qualification & Education Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electricity, or HVAC preferred; equivalent experience will be considered
• Experience – Relevant or similar experience preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Analytical Skills – Ability to read a plan and have the mental acuity to discern the proper procedure to follow for each unit.
• Well-developed communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work safely, follow all safety rules and lead by example.
• Must be able to maintain good and regular attendance.
• Must be available for mandatory overtime.

Pay Range:
