Job summary

Tecumseh Products Company is seeking a maintenance technician to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on old and new machines, plus pneumatic and hydraulic systems. The role requires reading electrical diagrams for troubleshooting and familiarity with preventive maintenance programs, with the ability to work safely in variable temperatures.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electricity, or HVAC preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• Experience – Relevant or similar experience preferred.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Analytical Skills – Ability to read a plan and discern the proper procedure to follow for each unit.
• Well-developed communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work safely, follow all safety rules and lead by example.
• Must be able to maintain good and regular attendance.
• Must be available for mandatory overtime.
• Knowledge of Control systems
• Electrical experience
• Ability to weld
• Knowledge of different gases for welding/air compressors/cooling systems
• Works well with others
