Job summary

Tecumseh Products Company in Wisconsin is seeking a maintenance technician to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on aging and new machines, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems.

The role requires reading electrical diagrams, maintaining preventive maintenance programs, and ensuring a safe, productive work environment; overtime may be required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Experience in industrial maintenance or similar.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to read plans/diagrams and discern the proper procedure for each unit.
• Well-developed communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to work safely and follow safety rules; lead by example.
• Regular attendance is required.
• Overtime availability is mandatory.

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance on old and new machines, including pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Read electrical diagrams for troubleshooting.
• Familiar with preventive maintenance programs (identification, documentation, procedures).
• Work in cold or hot conditions while maintaining a safe environment.
• Follow instructions with a proactive, ‘can do’ attitude and ask questions as needed.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Performs electrical and mechanical maintenance on old and new machines, plus maintenance of pneumatic & hydraulic systems

• Ability to read electrical diagram for troubleshooting

• Familiarity with p.m. programs (identify, documentation, procedures)

• Able to work in cold or hot conditions while maintaining a safe work environment

• Ability to take instruction with a ‘can do’ attitude, but willing to ask questions as needed

Qualification & Education Requirements:

• Associate’s degree in Industrial Maintenance, Electricity, or HVAC preferred; equivalent experience will be considered

• Experience – Relevant or similar experience preferred.

• Good written and verbal communication.

• Analytical Skills – Ability to read a plan and have the mental acuity to discern the proper procedure to follow for each unit.

• Well-developed communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

• Ability to work safely, follow all safety rules and lead by example.

• Must be able to maintain good and regular attendance.

• Must be available for mandatory overtime.

Pay Range:

• $24.50-$37.00 Based on experience and technical ability
