Job summary

Aeon is seeking a Maintenance Technician to join our Minneapolis property at Chicago Avenue and Buri Manor. This full-time role involves diagnosing and repairing a range of building systems, completing preventative maintenance, and preparing units for new residents.

You’ll work with the Property Manager and vendors to uphold safety, quality, and resident satisfaction. Ideal candidates have strong problem-solving and customer-service skills, a valid driver’s license, and own basic tools.

Qualifications

• Experience in general apartment or building maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize maintenance requests, preventative maintenance, and safety needs.
• Ability to communicate professionally and build positive relationships with residents, coworkers, vendors, and contractors.
• Ability to engage in interpersonal communication that is culturally responsive.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance service requests in a timely, professional, and resident-focused manner.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair building systems and apartment components.
• Perform routine preventative maintenance to extend system life and reduce repairs.
• Identify maintenance concerns and recommend corrective action.
• Maintain records of work orders, inspections, and preventive maintenance.
• Prepare vacant apartments for new residents and ensure safety/appearance standards.
• Maintain property cleanliness, safety, and curb appeal in coordination with team.
• Assist with seasonal property maintenance and inspections.
