Job summary

The St. James in Bethesda, MD is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain the property’s safety, functionality, and appearance within a premium hospitality fitness environment.

You will manage daily work orders, preventative maintenance, and inventory while upholding high standards for all spaces. Ideal candidates have general maintenance experience, knowledge of light carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems, and a strong commitment to safety.

Qualifications

• General maintenance experience required.
• Working knowledge of light carpentry, plumbing, and electrical systems.
• Strong understanding of safety procedures and safe work practices.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and perform routine and minor maintenance and repairs in a timely and professional manner.
• Complete service requests daily and accurately document all work performed, including parts used.
• Follow up on incomplete work orders to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain positive and professional relationships with members, guests, vendors, contractors, and team members.
• Inspect facility spaces daily using checklists and communicate repair needs to management.
• Ensure all spaces are maintained to company standards and prepared for daily operations.
• Perform daily building and common area upkeep.
• Execute assigned preventative maintenance programs and maintain accurate records.
• Order parts and supplies while maintaining organized and cost effective inventory.
• Maintain engineering and maintenance areas to company standards.
• Support facility events and special projects as assigned.
