Job summary

AJ Dwoskin & Associates seeks a Senior Maintenance Technician to support the Maintenance Supervisor in Herndon, VA. You will manage service requests, perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and carpentry tasks, and ensure timely apartment turnarounds while maintaining grounds and common areas.

You must be able to work on call, weekends, and overtime as needed. A high school diploma, CFC/HVAC credentials, and 5+ years in maintenance are required, plus a valid driver’s license and clean DMV.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Specialized training and certification equivalent in specialized building trades, CFC certification, and HVAC license.
• A minimum of five years of successful performance in general maintenance and a valid driver's license are required.
• Proficiency with the tools and equipment appropriate to the position's responsibilities.
• Proficiency using electronic communication devices, email, and Microsoft Office 365.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Maintenance Technicians, assign service tickets, and track work orders (Yardi) in absence of the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Perform service requests involving HVAC, appliances, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general repairs.
• Complete apartment turnarounds within five days.
• Perform preventive maintenance twice per year.
• Maintain building interiors, exteriors, common areas, and grounds.
