Job summary

TRG Management Company is seeking a Maintenance Technician to support our residential communities across multiple states. The role reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and requires a proactive, problem-solving mindset, team-oriented attitude, and pride in quality workmanship.

Essentials include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least two years of hands-on apartment maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required or preferred.
• Minimum of two (2) years hands-on apartment maintenance experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• EPA or CFC certification required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare or assist in maintenance of offices and common areas (painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs).
• Perform hands-on maintenance including inspection, repair, and maintenance of interiors and exteriors.
• Install and repair electrical systems and components in machinery and equipment.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and document findings in logs.
• Respond to on-call emergencies as required.
• Support grounds maintenance and upkeep, ensuring cleanliness and order.

The Maintenance Technician plays a critical role in the operations of our communities. In fact, it is one of the most important aspects of the resident experience. The Maintenance Technician reports directly to the Maintenance Supervisor.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Prepares or assists in preparing maintenance of office in regard to painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping, etc.
• Responsible for the hands-on maintenance of the property, including overall inspection, repair, and general maintenance of offices and other interior/exterior areas.
• Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Performs various preventative maintenance functions and records findings in maintenance log.
• Performs on-call emergency service as required.
• Works along with general maintenance staff in maintaining grounds and keeping them free of trash and debris.
• Monitors the maintenance and keep-up of all mechanical equipment on the community including, but not limited to, water heaters, HVAC units, etc.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
• Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

• A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• A minimum of two (2) years hands-on apartments maintenance experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• An EPA or CFC certification.
