Job summary

TRG Management is seeking a Maintenance Technician to play a key role in the operation and resident experience at our communities. The technician reports to the Maintenance Supervisor and is expected to be a proactive problem-solver, team player, and hands-on contributor across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and HVAC tasks.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years hands-on apartment maintenance experience (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC).
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• EPA or CFC certification.

Responsibilities

• Prepares or assists in preparing maintenance of office in regard to painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping, etc.
• Responsible for the hands-on maintenance of the property, including overall inspection, repair, and general maintenance of offices and other interior/exterior areas.
• Installs and repairs electrical systems, apparatus, and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment.
• Performs preventative maintenance and records findings in maintenance log.
• On-call emergency service as required.
• Maintains grounds and keeps them free of trash and debris.
• Monitors maintenance and upkeep of mechanical equipment (water heaters, HVAC).
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures; replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
• Replaces faulty electrical components such as relays, switches, motors; positions sensing devices.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Prepares or assists in preparing maintenance of office in regard to painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping, etc.
• Responsible for the hands-on maintenance of the property, including overall inspection, repair, and general maintenance of offices and other interior/exterior areas.

The ideal candidate will possess:

• A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• A minimum of two (2) years hands-on apartments maintenance experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• An EPA or CFC certification.
