Job summary

TRG Management seeks a hands-on Maintenance Technician to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. You will perform daily upkeep of the property, including repairs, preventative maintenance, and on-call emergency service to ensure safe, well-maintained communities.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years of maintenance experience, EPA/CFC certification, and strong communication skills. You’ll work with our maintenance staff to keep units and common areas in top condition and support resident

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years hands-on property maintenance experience.
• EPA or CFC certification.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs; climb and balance on ladders for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Maintains office and common areas (painting, carpet cleaning, repairs, housekeeping).
• Hands-on maintenance of the property, including inspections and repairs.
• Performs preventative maintenance and records findings.
• Provides on-call emergency service as required.
• Maintains grounds and keeps areas free of trash and debris.
• Monitors mechanical equipment such as water heaters and HVAC units.
• Diagnoses malfunctions and replaces faulty electrical components.
• Replaces faulty wires and cables and positions sensing devices.

Job Description

Job Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To

• Prepares or assists in preparing maintenance of office in regard to painting, carpet cleaning, general repairs, housekeeping, etc.
• Responsible for the hands-on maintenance of the property, including overall inspection, repair, and general maintenance of apartment units and other interior/exterior areas.
• Performs various preventative maintenance functions and records findings in maintenance log.
• Performs on-call emergency service as required.
• Works along with general maintenance staff in maintaining grounds and keeping them free of trash and debris.
• Monitors the maintenance and keep-up of all mechanical equipment on the community including, but not limited to, water heaters, HVAC units, etc.
• Diagnoses malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures and replaces damaged or broken wires and cables.
• Replaces faulty electrical components of machine such as relays, switches, and motors, and positions sensing devices.

The Ideal Candidate Will Possess

• A high school diploma or equivalent (preferred).
• A minimum of two (2) years hands-on property maintenance experience in areas such as plumbing, electrical, carpentry, HVAC, etc.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
• The ability to lift up to 50lbs; walk, bend, climb and balance on ladders for extended periods during the day.
• An EPA or CFC certification.
