Job summary

University Partners is seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team and help maintain a safe, comfortable, and welcoming living environment for residents. The role covers work orders, grounds and common area upkeep, and fostering positive resident relations.

Responsibilities include completing service requests promptly, maintaining a clean and organized shop, and reporting issues to supervisors for resolution.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 0–3 months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• HVAC certification may be required as per job postings.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to residents, guests, employees and contractors.
• Complete all routine service requests within 24 hours under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintain the maintenance shop according to policy and ensure clean condition of the community.
• Report maintenance issues to the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager for review.
• Assist in other tasks as directed by the Maintenance Supervisor.
• Spot-clean model and vacant units daily.

JOBPURPOSE:

Maintenance Technicians perform a variety of responsibilities, including work orders, grounds and common area clean up and maintenance, and maintaining good resident relations.

PRIMARYDUTIES&RESPONSIBILITIES:

Duties and responsibilities will include those specifically assigned by the employees immediate supervisor.

• Providingexcellentservicetoresidents,guests,employeesandcontractors.
• Completingallroutineservicerequestswithin24hoursatthedirectionofMaintenanceSupervisor.
• Ensuringthecleanconditionofthecommunityatalltimes.
• Maintainingthemaintenanceshopaccordingtopolicy.
• ReportingmaintenanceissuestotheMaintenanceSupervisorandCommunityManagerforreview.
• AssistinginothertasksasdirectedbytheMaintenanceSupervisor.
• Spotcleaningthemodelandvacantunitsonadailybasis.

Qualifications:

• Workingknowledgeofelectric,plumbing,HVACandbasicconstruction.
• Ageneralmechanicalaptitudecombinedwithawillingnessanddesiretolearn.
• Abilitytoreadandcomprehendsimpleinstructions,shortcorrespondence,andmemos.Ability to write simple correspondence.Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
