Job description

Job Title: Maintenance Technician

As a Maintenance Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining and improving our community, handling HVAC systems, general repairs, and ensuring a comfortable living environment for residents. You will work with a supportive team and management to provide top-quality service.

Responsibilities:
  1. Complete maintenance requests efficiently, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry, masonry, and painting tasks.
  2. Maintain, repair, and replace HVAC systems to ensure resident comfort.
  3. Perform repairs on showers, sinks, appliances, doors, cabinets, walls, and building exteriors.
  4. Schedule and perform preventive maintenance to avoid issues.
  5. Maintain community pools, ensuring they are clean and safe.
  6. Monitor outside vendors and contractors to ensure quality work.
  7. Assist with landscaping, trash pickup, and sidewalk cleaning to maintain curb appeal.
  8. Prepare units for new residents by completing necessary repairs.
  9. Report safety issues and follow safety regulations diligently.
  10. Assist with additional maintenance tasks and special projects as needed.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Basic repair skills in electrical, plumbing, painting, masonry, and carpentry.
  • Experience with HVAC maintenance.
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with residents, coworkers, and management.
  • Reliability and flexibility, including availability for emergency repairs and occasional weekend or evening work.
  • Physical ability to climb up to 40 feet, lift heavy objects, distinguish colors, and hear safety alarms.
  • Collaborative attitude and positive work ethic.
Minimum Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of experience in facility maintenance.
  • Ability to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions.
