Arnold Grounds Apartment Management is seeking a dependable, skilled, and service-oriented Maintenance Technician to join our team at Stratford Commons I & II in St. Louis, MO. The ideal candidate will have hands-on multifamily maintenance experience and take pride in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning community for our residents.
Complete resident work orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Perform general repairs involving plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliances, carpentry, and other building systems.
Complete apartment make-readies and unit turns according to company standards and established deadlines.
Conduct preventative maintenance and routine inspections of apartments, buildings, common areas, and property equipment.
Diagnose maintenance issues and make appropriate repairs or recommendations.
Assist with maintaining property grounds, common areas, mechanical rooms, and maintenance shop.
Respond to emergency and after-hours maintenance calls as part of the property's on-call rotation.
Maintain accurate records of work orders, repairs, inspections, and preventative maintenance.
Follow all company safety procedures, OSHA requirements, and Fair Housing guidelines.
Communicate professionally with residents, vendors, Community Management, and other team members.
Assist with property inspections and promptly address identified maintenance deficiencies.
Maintain inventory of tools, equipment, parts, and maintenance supplies.
Previous multifamily apartment maintenance experience strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, carpentry, and general building maintenance.
HVAC/EPA certification preferred.
Ability to troubleshoot and complete repairs independently.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to manage multiple work orders and changing priorities.
Professional communication and customer-service skills.
Must be dependable and able to participate in an after-hours/on-call rotation.
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required.
Ability to perform the physical duties associated with apartment maintenance, including lifting, bending, climbing, and working indoors and outdoors.
