Job summary

Bader is seeking a Maintenance Technician for The Yards and Backyards in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. This role offers no on-call or after-hours responsibilities and a standard weekday schedule. Compensation is hourly with opportunities to perform plumbing, HVAC, and appliance maintenance, while preparing vacant units for occupancy.

You will handle repairs, grounds maintenance, and customer service, with licensing requirements such as CPO/EPA Universal and a minimum of five years of experience.

Qualifications

• Requires CPO certification
• EPA - Universal certification
• Minimum of 5 years maintenance experience

Responsibilities

• Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors and other parts of the building.
• Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up, shoveling, and sweeping curb/dumpster area, maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
• Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
• Install, repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
• Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains, repair/replace leaking faucets, remove/replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust/replace door closures, and replace locks, deadbolts and passage locks.
• Demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service at all times.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Rotating Weekend Schedule for Pool Testing in the Summer

Compensation:

• $29-30 per hour

Licenses/Certifications Required:

This level of technician is required to have the licenses and certifications necessary for the property(s) worked at.
