Job summary

The Yards and Backyards maintenance technician role at Bader Management, Inc. offers hands-on building maintenance across our rental communities in Minnesota. You will handle repairs to plumbing, HVAC, fixtures, and appliances, while keeping common areas clean and safe.

The position features a standard weekday schedule and rotating summer weekends for pool testing. We value 5 years of maintenance experience, a CPO certification, and EPA Universal in order to manage properties effectively.

Qualifications

• Five years of maintenance experience.
• Experience with multifamily properties preferred.
• Strong problem-solving and hands-on repair skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors and other fixtures.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine cleaning of common areas.
• Prepare vacant units for occupancy and perform cleaning as needed.
• Install and repair plumbing, HVAC fixtures, and appliances; perform minor welding and fabrication.

Schedule:

• Monday - Friday
• 8:30 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
• Rotating Weekend Schedule for Pool Testing in the Summer

Compensation:

• $29-30 per hour

Licenses/Certifications Required:

This level of technician is required to have the licenses and certifications necessary for the property(s) worked at.

• CPO

Responsibilities:

• Provide a variety of skilled building maintenance including repairs to sinks, windows, floors and other parts of the building.
• Maintains the grounds as assigned which may include trash pick-up, shoveling, and sweeping curb/dumpster area, maintaining landscape beds and other areas.
• Preparation of vacant units for occupancy which may include cleaning responsibilities.
• Install, repair (including soldering) and maintain various plumbing; heating and air conditioning fixtures; perform metal fabrication and welding.
• Installation and repair of major and minor appliances (e.g. washer, dryer, refrigerator, stove, microwave, dishwashers, etc.).
• Troubleshoot maintenance issues, diagnose problems, replace and/or repair parts, test and make necessary adjustments to ensure issues are resolved.
• Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs as needed.
• Complete minor work orders such as snake toilets/drains, repair/replace leaking faucets, remove/replace caulking, replace different components of toilets, adjust/replace door closures, and replace locks, deadbolts and passage locks.
• Demonstrate courteous and efficient customer service at all times.
