Job summary

Elderwood Administrative Services is seeking a Maintenance team member to assist with repairs to buildings and furnishings and to maintain grounds, parking areas, and snow/ice removal. The role emphasizes resident safety, courteous service, and timely on-call support.

The position requires basic maintenance skills, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work with minimal supervision while complying with safety policies and HIPAA-like privacy standards in care environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Minimum one (1) year of related maintenance experience (e.g., carpentry, contracting).
• Current, valid driver license
• Participation in facility on-call program including off-hours
• Experienced with equipment operation such as hand tools, electric tools, lawn mowers, snowblowers
• HS diploma or equivalent preferred
• Genuine concern for the elderly; patient and compassionate attitude

Responsibilities

• Perform electrical, plumbing, painting, carpentry and mechanical duties as assigned.
• Maintain grounds, parking lots and driveways, including snow/ice removal as needed.
• Move heavy furniture and equipment safely.
• Ensure residents' safety and privacy and provide courteous service.
• Operate company vehicle as required.
• Attend meetings and required in-services.
• Adhere to safety rules and facility policies.
