Job summary

Gravitas is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep residents' environment safe, functional, and welcoming every day. You will perform daily checks and preventive maintenance on facility systems to ensure a reliable home for residents.

You will troubleshoot basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry issues, maintain logs, and assist in preparing rooms for new residents or events. On-call work is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training preferred.
• Experience in building maintenance, preferably in healthcare or residential settings.
• Strong knowledge of safety codes and basic building systems.
• Ability to interact respectfully with elderly residents and staff.
• Solid organization and time management skills.
• Ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual tasks when required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct daily checks and preventive maintenance on facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair basic electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and carpentry issues.
• Ensure safety and cleanliness of common areas, resident rooms, and outdoor spaces.
• Respond to urgent repair requests promptly and professionally.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs and safety documentation.
• Support team in preparing rooms for new residents or events.
• On Call as needed.
