Job summary

Family Service of Rhode Island is seeking a Maintenance Technician to preserve safety, functionality, and upkeep of Lucy's Hearth properties and sites in Providence and surrounding areas.

You will perform preventative and routine maintenance, coordinate with contractors, conduct safety inspections, and respond to emergencies to maintain welcoming environments for the families we serve.

Travel between sites is required; a valid driver’s license and the ability to lift 50 lbs are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in general maintenance, facilities management, and coordination of contractors.
• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, and HVAC systems, as well as carpentry.
• Troubleshooting and repair of common building issues.
• Manage multiple tasks and respond in emergencies.
• Experience around shelters or family environments preferred.
• Understanding of family-centered, trauma-informed setting.
• Valid driver's license

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, functionality, and upkeep of Lucy's Hearth properties.
