Job summary

Mercy Housing is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Kenosha, Wisconsin. This on-site role performs preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and apartment turnovers to uphold cleanliness and service standards.

Responsibilities include completing work orders, basic repairs, and maintaining safety and cleanliness across properties. Requires a HS diploma and valid driver’s license; technical trade training is a plus. Mercy Housing offers competitive benefits and a mission-driven team environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete work orders timely and leave area clean.
• Perform repairs (painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical).
• Clean apartments during turnover as directed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

The successful Maintenance Technician will complete preventative maintenance, minor repairs, and apartment turnovers. As part of the maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and customer service.

This is an on-site position.

Pay: $24-25/hour, depending on experience.

Duties

• Completes work orders in a timely and accurate manner. Cleans up after work is complete.
• Performs repairs on the property, including painting, basic carpentry or wall repair, plumbing, and electrical.
• Cleans apartments during turnover process, as directed.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of basic building maintenance required either through training or experience.
• Legally operate a motor vehicle (valid driver's license and insurance).

Preferred Qualifications

• Minimum of one (1) year in skilled maintenance work.
• Technical training in one or more building trades preferred.
