Maloney Properties LLC is hiring a Maintenance Technician to support our portfolio of residential properties in the Newport, RI area. You will be based at three nearby sites in Middletown, RI and report to sites in Newport, Portsmouth, and Tiverton, RI as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in-unit repairs and preventative maintenance.
• Ability to complete work orders including electrical, plumbing, and carpentry, plus appliance repair.
• Familiarity with property management software such as Yardi.

Responsibilities

• Performing in-unit repairs, preventative maintenance, and preparing apartments for new resident occupancy.
• Completing work orders, including light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.
• Providing access to and supervising contractors as needed.
• Performing groundskeeping and maintenance of exterior and common areas.
• Updating the Yardi mobile app and keeping the Maintenance Superintendent and Property Manager informed of work order status.

You will be based at 3 nearby sites in Middletown, RI and will report to sites in Newport, Portsmouth, and Tiverton, RI as needed. You will join a team of maintenance professionals whose responsibilities include:

• Performing in-unit repairs, preventative maintenance, and preparing apartments for new resident occupancy.
• Completing work orders, including light electrical, plumbing, and carpentry work, appliance repair, and general building maintenance.
• Providing access to and supervising contractors as needed.

The work hours are 9:00am-5:00pm, Monday-Friday, with on-call duties shared on rotation.
