Job summary

Greystar is hiring a Maintenance Technician to care for the physical aspects of our properties in Vancouver, WA. You will diagnose defects, perform preventive maintenance, and complete the make-ready process for vacant units to ensure high standards of cleanliness, safety, and appearance.

You will also manage inventory, document work, and assist in grounds maintenance while following safety policies and working within a team environment.

Qualifications

• EPA Type 1 and II or Universal refrigerant recycling certification.
• All certifications as required by State and Local jurisdictions.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart on property if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders from resident requests and preventative maintenance by diagnosing defects and making repairs according to safety standards and code requirements.
• Performs make-ready process to prepare vacant apartments for leasing, completes pre-move-out inspection, and coordinates vendors as needed.
• Tracks inventory and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation for service requests to enable tracking.
• Assists in maintaining grounds and amenities, including cleaning and painting tasks.
• Supports cost-control by repairing rather than replacing parts when feasible.

Education

EPA Refrigerant Certification (Type 1 & II or Universal)

State & Local Certifications compliance

Valid driver's license
