Job summary

APG in Kingsland, GA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep Odyssey at Laurel Island running smoothly for its residents. You’ll complete work orders, prepare apartments for move-in, perform preventive maintenance, and keep grounds and common areas clean and safe.

This hands-on role requires reliability, the ability to work independently, and pride in delivering great service. Pay ranges from $18.00 to $20.00 per hour plus commissions; schedule is full-time, Monday through Friday.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC and general repairs.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve routine maintenance issues.
• Ability to complete apartment make-readies.
• Working knowledge of hand and power tools.
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
• Previous apartment maintenance experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident work orders promptly and professionally.
• Perform plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and general repairs within authorized qualifications.
• Complete apartment make-readies and ensure units are ready by scheduled deadlines.
• Perform preventive maintenance and routine property inspections.
• Maintain grounds, breezeways, amenities, and common areas.
• Identify and report safety hazards and property damage.
• Maintain tools, equipment, supplies, and an organized shop.
• Document completed work orders and communicate outstanding issues to management.
• Respond to emergency maintenance calls as assigned.
• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and applicable codes.
• Maintain a professional, punctual approach and positive resident relations.
• Treat all residents consistently and professionally, in line with Fair Housing requirements.
