Job summary

AWI Management Corp. in Lancaster, CA is seeking a skilled and dependable Maintenance Technician to help maintain a 100-unit complex and ensure a safe, well-maintained environment for residents. This role emphasizes problem solving and timely responses to work orders.

Experience with general building maintenance and landscaping is preferred, and HUD/LIHTC/RD experience is a plus. Authorized to work in the United States is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in general building maintenance including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
• Experience with subsidized housing programs (HUD, LIHTC, or RD) is helpful.
• Ability to work independently and safely on site.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Complete maintenance requests and work orders in a timely manner.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, cleaning, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs.
• Assist with preventative maintenance to keep building systems in good condition.
• Maintain grounds and landscaping for curb appeal.
• Assist with annual apartment inspections and identify maintenance needs.
• Coordinate with the Property Manager to order supplies and manage vendors.
