Job summary

Morgan Group in Houston, TX is seeking a Maintenance Team Member to help keep our multi-family communities clean, safe, and well-maintained. You will perform daily repairs, assist with turnover of vacated units, and support ground and pool maintenance as needed.

This full-time position requires physical stamina, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs with assistance, and adherence to our safety procedures. We offer training, excellent benefits, and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or better required.
• Experience in property maintenance or similar role preferred.
• Ability to follow safety procedures.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to MORGAN’s Maintenance and Emergency Procedures manuals along with the Team Member Handbook.
• Ensure property grounds and common areas are clean and free of debris and that all external fixtures are clean and in working order.
• Complete assigned service requests and repairs in a safe and timely manner.
• Inspect the property; pick up trash and debris, and report all safety hazards or needed repairs to the Lead Maintenance.
• Clean parking lot areas, garages, walkways, entryways and hallways.
• Operate indoor floor scrubber machines when necessary.
• Ensure model tour route is free of debris.
• Operate leaf blower or parking lot vacuum to ensure property is free of debris.
• Empty trash cans and move/clean trash dumpsters and surrounding areas.
• Assist with removal of furniture, appliances and debris from vacated apartments to dumpster or storage.
• Assist with snow removal operations, pond, fountain and/or pool cleaning and maintenance.
• Pick up debris at dog parks and/or other pet areas using PPE such as gloves.
• Assist with cleaning of vacant units for move-ins when needed.
• Clean pool, chairs, tables, decks and umbrellas.
• Comply with all training requirements set forth for this position.
