Job summary

The Maintenance Team Member at Cardinal Group Companies is responsible for protecting, maintaining, and enhancing the value of our communities in Pflugerville, TX, ensuring resident maintenance issues are resolved quickly and professionally.

This full-time, non-exempt role requires hands-on maintenance, pool service knowledge, and the ability to work weekends and after-hours on-call; a strong customer-service mindset helps deliver a superior living experience.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of relevant maintenance experience.
• Excellent customer service, attention to detail and basic maintenance skills.
• Working knowledge of pool service and maintenance.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Able to lift at least 75 lbs and stand 8–12 hours.
• Available to work weekends and on-call emergencies.
• Demonstrate Cardinal Culture and Core Values daily.

Responsibilities

• Maintains the facility and grounds based on community objectives.
• Operates, maintains and repairs facility equipment following health, safety and OSHA requirements.
• Responds to work orders promptly, including after-hours on-call maintenance.
• Assists with inspection of public areas and resident apartments for upkeep and standards.
• Adheres to EPA rules for air conditioning, refrigeration and refrigerants handling.
• Follows health department, city, state and federal procedures for pools/spas and water chemistry.
• Keeps storage areas, tools and equipment secure at all times.
• Participates in Cardinal U training as required.
