Qualifications

• Interprets drawings, operation manuals, wiring diagrams, electrical schematics and/or manufacturer’s specifications.
• Diagnoses problems with production machinery and equipment and determines how to correct them.
• Performs total predictive maintenance and preventative maintenance to ensure machines and systems run smoothly and efficiently.
• Schedules and performs machine teardown to make repairs and modifications.
• May operate various types of equipment related to maintenance functions, such as forklift, welders, and cutting torches.
• Promotes teamwork and communicates actions, irregularities, and continuing needs to supervision.
• Performs general housekeeping tasks and keeps work area clean, organized and free of scrap, debris.

Responsibilities

• Interprets drawings, operation manuals, wiring diagrams and/or manufacturer’s specifications to diagnose issues and plan repairs.
• Diagnoses problems with production machinery and equipment and determines how to correct them for safe operation.
• Keeps machinery and equipment in efficient, safe operating condition to maintain quality and production standards.
• Performs predictive and preventive maintenance to ensure machines and systems run smoothly.
• Schedules teardown and modification work; may dismantle, move, install or erect equipment.
• Operates maintenance-related equipment such as forklifts, welders, and cutting torches as needed.
• Promotes teamwork, communicates status and needs, and supports resolution of problems for continuous improvement.
• Maintains a clean, organized work area.
