Job summary

Methodist Medical Center of Oak Ridge, part of Covenant Health, seeks a Maintenance Worker to support plant engineering and hospital upkeep. The role covers general maintenance of buildings, grounds, and equipment across patient facilities.

You will assist with electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and HVAC tasks, inspect safety systems, and perform painting and minor redecorations as needed. Local travel is required.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Basic reading, writing, and math skills required.
• Familiar with building maintenance techniques and trades.

Responsibilities

• Assist mechanics with electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC maintenance and repairs.
• Perform pick up and delivery of supplies, blood and equipment using department truck.
• Inspect fire extinguishers and lights; replace as needed.
• Paint and redecorate walls and fixtures inside hospital buildings; prep surfaces for painting.
