Job summary

Axia Residential is seeking a part-time Maintenance Technician in Atlanta, GA to keep our apartment communities safe, clean, and well-maintained. You’ll handle service requests, prep apartments, and perform repairs across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry, while delivering friendly, customer-focused service.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of apartment maintenance experience, EPA Type II certification, and a commitment to safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification strongly preferred.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, and general maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and customer service skills.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work indoors/outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests promptly, professionally, and with a customer-first attitude.
• Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing quality make-readies on schedule.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, flooring, and general carpentry issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the community.
• Maintain the appearance and functionality of common areas, amenities, and grounds.
• Assist with emergency maintenance and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager to prioritize daily work and achieve team goals.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Deliver exceptional service while building positive relationships with residents and team members.
