Job summary

Axia Residential in Lithia Springs, GA is seeking a Maintenance Technician to preserve the appearance, safety, and functionality of our apartment community. You will handle service requests, prepare homes for new residents, and perform preventive maintenance.

The role requires 2+ years of apartment maintenance experience, EPA Type II or Universal certification preferred, and the ability to troubleshoot HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, and carpentry.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of apartment maintenance experience preferred.
• EPA Type II or Universal Certification strongly preferred.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, and general maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, organizational, communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds, climb ladders, and work indoors/outdoors in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Complete resident service requests promptly with a customer-first attitude.
• Prepare vacant apartment homes for new residents by completing quality make-readies on schedule.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC systems, plumbing, electrical, appliances, drywall, painting, flooring, and general carpentry issues.
• Perform preventative maintenance throughout the community.
• Maintain the appearance and functionality of common areas, amenities, and grounds.
• Assist with emergency maintenance and participate in an on-call rotation.
• Work closely with the Maintenance Supervisor and Community Manager to prioritize daily work and achieve team goals.
• Follow all company safety policies and OSHA guidelines.
• Deliver exceptional service while building positive relationships with residents and team members.
