Job summary

Greystar in Oregon is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to keep our properties safe and well‑maintained. You will handle repair work, perform preventative maintenance, and assist with make‑ready tasks for vacant units.

The role requires diagnosing issues, ordering supplies, documenting service requests, and ensuring safety policy compliance. Occasional travel to other properties and a flexible schedule may be required, with performance bonuses possible.

Qualifications

• Experience performing routine and preventative maintenance on property systems and common areas.
• Ability to diagnose defects, identify causes, and repair in line with safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Completes assigned work orders and preventative maintenance.
• Completes the “make‑ready” process for vacant units, including inspections and scheduling.
• Tracks inventory usage, returns unused items, and notifies supervisor about re-ordering needs.
• Completes documentation for service requests and ensures accurate recordkeeping.
• Maintains grounds, common areas, and amenities; performs cleaning and minor repairs as needed.
• Supports cost‑cutting by repairing instead of replacing parts when feasible.
• May periodically inspect work by contractors and vendors to verify quality and compliance.
• Assists in routine property inspections to identify safety and maintenance needs.
