Job summary

Greystar is seeking a Service Technician to perform technical and mechanical work ensuring buildings, grounds, and amenities meet safety and quality standards on our California property.

You will handle work orders, make-ready tasks for vacant units, inventory materials, document requests, and assist with safety programs. EPA refrigerant certifications and a valid driver’s license are required, with flexible scheduling as needed.

Qualifications

• Diagnose the source or cause of defects or problems and perform repairs
• Complete make-ready tasks to prepare vacant apartments for leasing
• Document work orders and inspections for record keeping
• Follow procedures to obtain materials and manage inventory from maintenance
• Inspect and maintain grounds, amenities, and common areas as needed

Responsibilities

• Diagnose defects and perform repairs on building systems
• Prepare vacant units for leasing and conduct pre-move-in inspections
• Manage materials and track inventory for maintenance
• Document service requests accurately and on time
• Assist in maintaining grounds, common areas, and amenities
• Support cost-cutting by using parts efficiently and avoiding waste
• Inspect work performed by contractors to ensure quality standards
