Job summary

Greystar is hiring a Maintenance Technician for the Alameda property. You will perform technical and mechanical work to maintain building systems, grounds, and common areas to meet safety and appearance standards.

The role includes handling work orders, preventative maintenance, and the make-ready process for new leases. Essential duties include inventory management, coordinating with vendors, and documenting service requests.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a property or facilities setting.
• EPA Type 1 & II or Universal refrigerant certification required.
• Valid driver’s license to operate a golf cart or vehicle on property.

Responsibilities

• Respond to work orders and perform preventative maintenance.
• Complete make-ready tasks for vacant units and coordinate with vendors.
• Track materials, inventory, and use of tools per policy.
• Document service requests accurately for records and reporting.
• Assist in grounds, common areas, and amenities maintenance, including cleaning and painting as needed.
• Support cost-control by repairing instead of replacing parts when feasible.
