Job summary

Friends Homes in Greensboro, NC is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our Life Plan Community safe and comfortable for residents and staff.

You will perform daily checks, handle work orders, and respond to maintenance requests, with weekend shifts as needed. This full-time role offers on-site work, a friendly, mission-driven environment and opportunities to grow within a nonprofit organization.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required.
• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience.
• Mechanically inclined with troubleshooting skills.
• Willingness to work weekends as needed.
• Strong communication and positive attitude.
• Basic computer skills for work orders and reporting.
• Must read/write English to communicate and document tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent customer service to residents and team members.
• Perform daily checks of mechanical equipment and apartment refurbishments.
• Complete and resolve daily work orders in a timely manner.
• Conduct monthly preventative maintenance tasks.
• Respond to resident complaints and requests.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and internal policies.
• Communicate with other departments or leadership as needed.
